My mom and sister visited me again this year from Germany. The big difference was that I took the two weeks off and we travelled around together. We went from Tsawassen to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. We spent a few days there. On our way to Port Albeni, we stopped in Parksville to meet with a good friend of mine. Unfortunately, the weather turned against us and we got a few rainy days, which meant our short trip to Tofino was not as nice as it could have been. Not much we could do about it. The bad weather took it’s toll and we all got a cold. From there we went on to Campbell River where we again stayed a few days and had a look around.

We then took the ferry from Comox to Powell River to start our discovery of the sunshine coast. We spent some time there.

Then we took the ferry from Saltery Bay to Earls Cove. We didn’t stay there, but moved on to Gibsons where we stayed the last few days together.

Our final trip was taking the ferry from Gibsons to Horseshoe Bay. I got lucky and got a save fare, which meant the trip was for free.
