Today is the day I deleted my old page. New beginnings. This means I now committed 100% to hugo. I have to say that I prefer the simplicity of it. That it is just static web pages. I also like that it is just plain files on my side. Makes it so much easier to move things around, find things and edit them. I don’t have to deal with a database or whatever limited things the software offers me. Because it is all just text files, I have the full power of the command line.

I haven’t figured out how I want to do pictures in the future. On one hand, a gallery would be nice. On the other hand, I don’t want to change too much and stay as simple as possible. I can always write some scripts that just create the text files for hugo.
