Most probably have heard by now that the Lenovo Legion Go S with SteamOS got announced. Looking at the reactions, I can see two fractions: This is the year of the Linux Desktop It’s not that big of a deal. It’s easy to install Linux. I wanted to address both of those. Let’s start with: This is the year of the Linux Desktop I doubt it. Mostly because SteamOS isn’t a desktop OS, but a console OS.

Steam Deck after a few months

Steam Deck after a few months
I got my steam deck in July and have been playing a lot with it. Well, maybe not a lot compared to others, but certainly a lot from my point of view. I also bought more games in the last six months than every before in my life. I guess that is a win for valve and the steam deck. Looking back, the steam deck certainly isn’t a perfect device. It would be nice if the screen was slightly bigger.
